Thermal contraception, also known as thermal testicular contraception, is a non-hormonal, reversible technique designed to temporarily reduce male fertility. It works by keeping the testicles at a temperature slightly higher than what’s required for normal sperm production. And it’s simple: a specially designed device holds the testicles above the scrotum, closer to the body, where the temperature is naturally higher.

En maintenant les testicules dans la poche inguinale 15h/j de manière quotidienne, la production de spermatozoïdes se met en veille en quelques semaines. En dessous d’une concentration de spermatozoides < à 1 million/ml, vous êtes considéré comme contracepté (OMS 2010).
