Clinical trials spanning 30 years have shown no significant effect on testosterone or other hormone levels when using thermal contraception. One study noted a slight drop in testosterone, but it was not enough to affect mood or other aspects of health. Further clinical trials will continue to monitor hormone levels during use.

It is important to understand that testosterone production does not depend on sperm production. In fact, it’s the other way round: testosterone must be present to produce sperm.
