What is a sperm count?

< 1 min read

What's the difference between a spermogram and a spermocytogram? While spermograms tend to measure sperm density, spermocytograms provide a morphological analysis of male gamete cells: shape, abnormalities on the head or flagella.

In the case of male contraception, it's the spermogram that's used for contraceptive follow-up tests. However, the first test to determine your fertility must also analyze your morphology. Due to a lack of clinical trials on those with abnormal sperm, if this applies to you, we recommend consulting a specialist before using thermal contraception.

There is no need to carry out further tests as a first step, such as DNA fragmentation.

So, before you start . During contraception, get a spermogram.
