The Andro-Switch is perfectly suited to sports in general. But for all sports that could lead to testicular trauma, either by a blow such as a knee strike or kick (e.g. contact sports, combat sports), or by receiving a ball (team sports), as well as all activities requiring a medical certificate, consult your doctor first.
Otherwise the best is to try and see for yourself. Sometimes it's necessary to have a smaller ring for the occasion.
Here are a few examples of activities on which we have received feedback:
- Climbing: No problem - wearing a harness is fine.
- Surfing: Feasible under certain conditions. The device can escape when you’re in waves higher than two metres or if you’re surfing intensively.
- Combat sports: Ok - watch out for pubic shocks.
- Bike: Ok with all types of saddle.
- Running: Ok - you may need a smaller ring for the occasion.
- Scuba diving: Ok - watch out for small wetsuits.
- Swimming: Ok
- Waves and diving: Remove it, you risk losing it.
- Circus, dance: Ok once comfortable wearing it.
- Yoga: Ok with an adjustment period
- Team sports: Ok - beware of pubic shocks
