First and foremost, the Andro-switch ring has been designed in biocompatible silicone for its excellent adhesion to the skin. It's important to remember that the ring is held in place by the silicone's adhesion to the epidermis, not by the ring's compression on the penis.
Note: as long as the testicles are above or at the same level as the ring, they remain exposed to body heat. There's no need to unnecessarily compress the penis and urethra to keep them high up in the inguinal pouch.
The first thing to do is to check that your Andro-switch is properly installed:
- Insert the penis into the ring.
- Then gently pull the skin of the scrotum through to
the inside of the device. Due to a lack of space, the testicles will then rise naturally into the inguinal pouch at the root of the penis. - Check that the testicles are in the inguinal pouch by light palpation.
To avoid unnecessary compression of the penis, you can always pull gently on several parts of your testicles to allow as much of their surface area as possible to pass through the ring.
Perform the tests suggested on the "andro-switch" page: Two postures, one lying on your back on the bed with your legs folded over you, the other performing a squat. The testicles should remain in a raised position.
A ring is too big when, despite appropriate application, it doesn't hold and a testicle falls back under the ring more than five times a day.
As long as the testicles are above or at the same level as the ring, the testicles are exposed to body heat.
