Ingredients #
- 50 mL limewater
- 50 mLfirst cold-pressed virgin olive oil
- you can also add 2 grams of beeswax (optional)
Hardware #
- Preferably an opaque bottle (editor's note: in the video we used a transparent bottle so you can see the product)
And if you prefer the version with beeswax you'll also need : - A saucepan
- A whip
Step by step #
The liniment recipe couldn't be simpler! Simply add 50% limewater and 50% olive oil, and mix vigorously in a bottle. The only drawback to this product is that the two phases of the solution tend to separate. You'll need to shake the bottle before each use.
If you're not a fan of shaking the bottle before each use, your liniment won't go out of phase if you also add beeswax.
Simply melt the beeswax in the olive oil over a bain-marie. Then remove from the heat and add the limewater. Stir well with a whisk until cool... And voilà, it's ready!
Once finished, it is applied with absorbent cotton or a washable wipe, and does not need to be rinsed off. As a precautionary measure, we always recommend an elbow test before application to check for allergic reactions.
