What's the right age to start?

There are no recommendations on this subject at present.

We know clinically that the thermal method reversibly alters sperm production in a mature, i.e. adult, testicle. We have no data on heat exposure of an immature testicle, in the process of formation during adolescence.

As a precautionary measure, it's advisable not to practice before the age of 20, by which time the testicles have generally reached maturity. To put it another way, it's best to wait until puberty is over.

Below this level, it will be necessary to demonstrate that gonadal function is mature before implementing the method.
